A-1Vacuum Offers Specials1430 Main Street is considered Broadway to Jim and Linda Fouch since they opened A-1 Vacuum January 2. Fouch, a guest speaker at the Old Speedway City Neighborhood Association (OSCNA), explained that Linda’s aunt advised them to open a store on Main Street because it will be the up and coming hot spot since it is located in the redevelopment Speed Zone. From this advice, the couple dubbed their investment on Main Street as Broadway. A-1 Vacuum is offering special discounts to build a customer base. New customers receive a ten percent discount and vacuum repairs are $9.95. Customers can also find over 300 different scented soy candles that are soot free. OSCNA member Scott Michalski called Fouch’s business plan of selling vacuum cleaners and offering women self-defense classes a unique combination. Fouch offers a wide price range of vacuum cleaners to meet most of the public’s budget. His self-defense classes are based on the program he was certified in 1984 during his career as a law enforcement officer. Fouch promised himself that if he ever had the opportunity to teach self-defense he would tell every woman that crossed his path. “Ladies you don’t have to be at a disadvantage. It is as easy as griping a can of Coke to put a man that is my size down on his knees,” he said. . |
