By the Speedway Town Council's proclamation, December 17 will be designated as Zach Razor, Evan Featheroff, and Jay Staton day. The proclamation honors three young men of Speedway for their accomplishment and service to Speedway that paved the way to reach the level of Eagle Scout.

The Boys Scouts of America was formed in 1910. BSA statistics indicate that about only 5 percent of the boys reach Eagle Scout.

Since 1912, approximately 1.7 million Boy Scouts have earned the badge. It is such a noteworthy accomplishment that a special fellowship organization exist for Eagle Scouts called The National Eagle Scout Association.
