Property Owner Changes Mind on Sale to SRC

As far as Mr. William Busard is concerned the deal to sell 1330 and 1340 Main Street to the Speedway Redevelopment Commission is off. Busard said he will not sell for anything less than $150,000 and $125,000 respectively

On June 24, SRC President Scott Harris said "We have a fully executed agreement to purchase the property for the price approved by the Redevelopment Commission.."

On June 11, the SRC approved to pay $130,000 and $70,000 for the properties.

Harris explained the SRC's real estate consultant will be contacting Mr. Busard since he communicated his desire to withdraw from the agreement in favor of higher price.

Harris said he would have additional information later. "We are only purchasing property from willing buyers, so we'll see what Mr. Busard's position is later this week," Harris said.
