Lu Hillmer retained her seat as Speedway Town Councilor by defeating Democratic challenger Traci Lipp.

"I am glad it is over with. This is evidence that we continue to work in redevelopment and our other strong programs. The past and future council will work very well together," Hillmer said.

The other councilors are Eileen Fisher, Bill Suffel, Gary Raikes, and Jeff Hartman.
Sharon Zishka remains as the clerk-treasurer.

District 13 City County Councilor Bob Lutz retained his seat that he took over from the resignation to Earl Salisbury earlier in the year. Lutz defeated Anna Peay with 3,732 votes compared to her 1,757. Lutz credited Andy Harris of the Wayne Township GOP for his dedicated work. Lutz explained that Harris developed a poll strategy where to campaign based on the voter turn out four years ago.

City County Councilor District 14 Marilyn Pfisterer defeated her challenger Gloria Jean Harvey with 2,227 to 1,359 votes. When the vote was about 50 percent in, Pfisterer said she was a little concerned about the east side of her district, but felt confident with the west side. She was disappointed with the light voter turnout. Voter turn out was reported at 25 percent.

Janice Shattuck McHenry defeated Frank Scott Jr. by 60 percent of the vote in city county council district 6. Prior to winning, McHenry described the campaigning as fun and hopes to be able to serve the people.
