Lafayette Road Bridge in Design Phase

Lafayette Road bridge over Big Eagle Creek is currently in the design phase with Indianapolis Department of Public works to repair the 200 foot bridge and road way improvements that will cover a total distance of 1,260 feet.

According to the City's Public Information Officer Angela Nussmeyer, the project should be ready for bid in 2008. The Federal Highway Administration is currently seeking public comment until November 19 concerning its findings that the project does not affect historic properties.
