Bus Route May Change

The Speedway Transportation Board officially petitioned IndyGo about rerouting bus service from Winton Avenue onto the four lane street of Lynhurst Drive.
According to board president Joe O'Neal, Winton Avenue is not wide enough to handle a bus line. The bus line was not always considered an asset to the residential street because of the noise and diesel fumes.
O'Neal does not expect the route to change until July and he welcomed suggestions for bus stops on Lynhurst Drive. He encourage residents to submit their ideas in a letter addressed to the Speedway Transportation Board at 1450 Lynhurst Drive.
According to Ronnetta Spaulding of IndyGo, "The planning department
is evaluating the request. We are working with the president of Speedway's
public transportation corporation. If it is deemed feasible and workable
with our schedule and routing, it could be implemented over the summer."
