Pedestrian Struck While Walking Dog

Speedway Police Chief Jeff Dine identified the victim as Ean Glover, 77,
husband of Liz Glover, owner of Charlie Brown's Pancake and Steak House
on Main Street in Speedway, one of the town's oldest restaurants.
Police say the truck's driver is a a 34 year old man who called police
when he "caught something out of the corner of his eye and then heard
a thump." The driver stopped immediately and called to report the
accident. The 1999 Chevy truck was taken to the police impound lot.

Speedway Police are investigating a fatality involving a local resident
who was out walking his dog Thursday evening. The victim was crossing Lynhurst
Drive at Winton Avenue around 8.30 pm when he was hit by a truck driving
northbound on Lynhurst. Officers said there was no indication of speeding
or impairment from drugs or alcohol by the truck's driver.
