Jon Elrod continues his push to win the Seventh District US Congressional
Seat during the afternoon by stopping at various polling sites. Speedway
voters seemed to be taken back when exiting the doors at John Knox Presbyterian
Church to see Elrod greeting and conversing with people. Elrod explained
he selected this location because it contained three precincts giving him
a broader scope to reach more voters.
Elrod greeted the John and Julie Chapman, who came to vote. For the Chapmans
the special election served as a tool to teach their daughter Lindsay
about the importance of voting.
One constituent complained about being a victim of copper theft that cost him $50,000. Elrod showed signs of empathy as he discussed his own personal experience of being a victim to copper theft.
