Proposed Car Salvage Yard Needs Zoning Change

Eagledale Neighborhood Association President Harry Simpson is doing a mass
email to plead for help to stop the July 1 rezoning petition to allow salvaging
and repair of automobiles at 3090, 3094 and 3098 Lafayette Road.
Armondo Gonzales, petitioner, also wants to use the property for outside storage of inoperable parts and store cars not ready for repair. He also wants to construct two buildings that would be located less than the minimum seventy foot front setback from the centerline of Lafayette Road.
The Metropolitan Development Board of Zoning Appeals will hear the petition
July 1at 1 pm at the City County Building.
