Wayne Township Center is Satellite Voting Site

Wayne Township Trustee David Baird announced that the Wayne Township Government Center will serve as the westside's satellite voting site for the November Election.

Open seven days a week between the hours of 10 am to 6pm, voters from all over the county can vote between October 20th to November 2nd.

Baird hopes this will encourage more people to vote since they will not have to drive downtown to vote by absentee ballot. He thinks the City County Building's metal detectors discourage people from entering the building to vote. The fire station does not have metal detectors to inhibit voters from coming.

Baird contends that a higher voter turnout will drive candidates to have a better accessibility to the constituents. The government center is located at 5401 W. Washington Street.
