The Clermont Old Fashion Day parade is just one of many parades John and Julie Camden and their children attend each year. The Camden's affinity for parades and small town festivals have them traveling as far as Crown Point to watch the Fourth of July parade to Pennsylvania to attend small town festivals. They are hoping the Speedway Parade will return this year.

The Camden family, like many others in attendance, also had the opportunity to see Sancho, the Texas Longhorn Steer, at the parade. Sancho was also one of the attractions at the Clermont Rodeo that was held in conjunction with the parade. Sancho's handler, Marsha Morehart, referred to the 2,200 pound animal as a "cream puff." She said the 11 year-old steer's horns measure six feet from tip to tip.

Morehart said he is so acceptable that she was able to decorate his horns with Christmas lights and stars for a Christmas Parade in Texas. "He is a ham." She said his "demeanor" is "one in a million", referring to his gentle behavior.

Sancho's horns were not the only item that captured the crowd's attention. G. R. Briggs rode his new-fangled Colts bike to watch the parade. Brigg's bike drew shouts of "Go Colts" from the parade participants when they saw the bike parked against the curb. Brigg's said he won the bike in a cancer fund raising raffle.
